Try if you like...

... poetry.

My opinion, worthless as it seems, is that my darling has put to paper (or pixel) some of his best and most inspired work yet.

Check it out here.

Woah, more poetry. I just finished discussing some on another blog!

I don't do the unpunctuated stream of consciousness like your Dave. That actually takes a lot of skill and an original ability to put fleeting impressions on paper.

Me, I'm a bit concrete, I'll wax lyrical about the history of a 1,000 year old church or a bird singing from a chimney. Stuff like that. With a few impressions thrown in, mayhap.

I put them all up on my blog last year, probably a good idea if I consolidated them on one site.

What about you, do you try your hand at any?

I'm so terrible at poetry. I tried before in a blog post but it was a miserable attempt...

P.S. Went to a fabulous veg restaurant today. So nice to go out to lunch on a warm Spring day and have something so pleasant to much!

I usually write poems when my heart is breaking, which is not often but when it happens, it is intense :P

P.S. I've started buying a brand here called Quorn - it's a mycoprotein, feels like tender chicken. There are "chicken" pieces for recipes, sausages, breaded escalopes stuffed with gruyere cheese, or spinach and cheese.

Speaking of which, my mouth waters at the thought and perhaps for dinner I will do an escalope with spaghetti tossed in pico de gallo.

Hmmm Quorn. It's one fo those substances you have to throw great swathes of flavour at to get it to taste of something.

Except for the sausages. They rule.

Haven't tried it, but I'll check it out! Stay tuned, readers, a new post is coming soon!

Matt - like chicken then :P
I am hooked on the spinach and cheese stuffed escalopes.
Last night I tried the tandoori pieces and it was atrocious.
I bought the sausages and have yet to try them. Maybe tonight with my Sainsbury's macaroni.

Get this, it's macaroni in a cream sauce with blue cheese, spinach, and topped with garlic breadcrumbs. Must go in the oven of course. Diviiiine!

Looking forward to your new post, Luna!

Liv- chicken tastes of chicken! The problem, of course, is that when you cook with chciken it makes every bloody other thing taste of chicken

Chicken - The Anti-Quorn! hehe.

Luna - yeah, don't make me come over there - get posting!

I'm serious, don't make me come over there and log you in. I'm allowed to be lazy and non-bloggy cos all I ever talk about is The Hoff, Honey Badgers and how various people should be excluded from the human race for appearing on reality TV shows.

get blogging! Or i'll mail Dave and tell him you drown puppies for a living!
